MTN Nigeria Launches 5G Digital Experience Center in Abuja

MTN Nigeria has officially unveiled its Fifth Generation Technology (5G) powered Digital Experience Center at its Zonal Office in Maitama District, Abuja.

The company announced plans to open more centers across the country, providing Nigerians with the opportunity to experience and unlock the potential of digital services. The launch event was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Communications, Innovations and Digital Economy, including Dr. Bosun Tijani, and the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Aminu Maida, along with other key stakeholders.

MTN’s Chief Customer Relations Officer, Ugonwa Nwoye, and Chief Information Officer, Soyinka Sodunke, expressed their belief that the Digital Experience Center will revolutionize the digital services landscape in Nigeria, unlocking economic potentials and creating business opportunities for self-development and empowerment.

Speaking to reporters after the unveiling, Nwoye emphasized that the center would serve as a hub for creativity, offering resources for gaming innovation, smart city development, smart warehouses for industries, and smart eateries—all powered by 5G technology.

With 15 Digital Experience Centers already established nationwide, MTN Nigeria is making significant strides in advancing digital connectivity and innovation. Plans are also underway to expand to additional states, further enhancing the digital landscape across the country.
