A large fire broke out at the popular AP Plaza in Wuse 2, Abuja, on Saturday, causing extensive property damage and raising alarm among nearby residents and business owners.
Eyewitnesses reported that the fire erupted around noon, with thick smoke billowing into the sky, attracting a crowd of onlookers who watched as the flames spread through the building. Though the cause of the fire remains unclear, local authorities have launched an investigation to determine its origin.
AP Plaza management has pledged to cooperate with fire service teams and investigators to uncover the cause and provide regular updates to affected business owners and tenants. Thankfully, no injuries or fatalities have been reported at this time, but officials are advising the public to steer clear of the area to allow firefighters to safely manage the flames and assess the building’s structural safety.
