Ndifreke Saviour Mark, a Special Assistant to former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has passed away in an Abuja Hotel.

In a statement released on Monday, Fani-Kayode, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), confirmed the tragic news. He revealed that his aide collapsed and died at Mildy Lodge and Apartments, a hotel in Garki, Abuja.

According to Fani-Kayode, the Nigeria Police reported that Ndifreke had checked into the hotel with an undisclosed individual. After spending some time together, the aide suddenly collapsed and passed away in the person’s presence.

Ndifreke was immediately rushed to Asokoro District Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Fani-Kayode further disclosed that the individual who was with his aide at the time of the incident has been arrested, along with the hotel receptionist. He also called for a full criminal investigation and an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

“The individual present at the time of his death is now in police custody, and I have demanded a thorough investigation into the matter,” Fani-Kayode stated.

Additionally, the hotel was sealed by the police for two days, with the room where the incident occurred still under lockdown.
