Chima Hyginus Nkwocha, alias “Young Billionaire,” has been sentenced to two years in prison by Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court, Maitama, Abuja.

Nkwocha was convicted on charges of cheating by impersonation and money laundering.

Nkwocha defrauded an American citizen, Linda Wheeler, of $345,000 by impersonating multiple identities through Gmail and Google Voice accounts. He received the funds via Ginux Global Nigeria Limited, a Zenith Bank account.

The EFCC presented evidence of Nkwocha’s fraudulent activities, including his arrest and the recovery of assets such as a luxury car, jewelry, cash, and multiple properties.

Justice Nwite sentenced Nkwocha to two years in prison with an option of a N2,000,000 fine.

The court also ordered the forfeiture of all proceeds of the crime to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
